The beauty of Ryuhyo(the ice floe) is only for those who stand before it.The boundless ice field leads us to think of our anscestors who came to this island from the north.
People have thought that the floe is too dangerous to walk on, because there are a lot of chasms and trap holes hidden in the ice field.
But, in this tour, special drysuits converted from those for ice-diving secure you from freezing sea water. You don't have to be afraid of drowning because they are buoyant. People of all ages from children to elders are possible to participate, as far as you are no less than 130cm tall.


[Period]: While the floe is staying at the shore (Feburary - end of March)
[Restriction]: No children under elementary school age, and no less than 130cm tall. No drunks, no pregnants.

(1) 6:30am - 8:00am
(2) 9:30am - 11:00am
(3) 13:00pm - 14:30pm
(4) 15:15pm - 16:45pm
[Meeting]: 10 minutes before the start time. At your accommodations in Utoro town.

Your accommodation -(5min. drive)--> Utoro sea shore(put drysuits on) --> Ryuhyo Walk(about 1hr.) --> Utoro sea shore(shed drysuit off) - (5min. drive)->

Don't step on the floe except for the Ryuhyo Walk tour! It will risk your life.

When you enter the forest, stay still for a while and concentrate upon the sound of your heart beat. You can feel the oneness among trees and winds, and you will be totally refreshed. May the wild animals and our ancestors have lived in such a refreshing world.
