Salmon Watching
In late autumn, salmons and trouts come back to their birth-rivers in Shiretoko after four years of their journey all around the northern sea.
They go up the river for spawning with all the might, and end their lives there. They look very touching and very impressive!
[Period]: From mid of September to mid of October
[Restriction]: No little children under elementary school age. No drunks, no pregnants.
[Tour time]: About 1.5 hours
[Rate]: Adult 3,000yen / Child 1,500yen

What you need？
-Trekking shoes or walking shoes which are good for rough trails
-Rain suit or umbrella
-Sense of wonder
*Salmon and Trout might be nervous at spawning time. They are also indispensable resource for local fisher people. Please follow these notes.
#Do not shout. (Please express your impression only in your face)
#Please follow the instruction of guides when you go close to the river. The guides might make a decision that they should not go down to the river bank.
#Stay low and still at the river bank.
-The tour will be held even in rain. Enjoy yourself in the wet wilderness in a rain coat or an umbrella.
